Visjon2030 Projects

Sust dev goalsThe Visjon2030 initiative was launched in 2014 by the Norwegian government. It is setup to contribute to poverty reduction in countries receiving development aid from Norway, with the explicit purpose of scaling up innovative solutions that promote achievements of the UN sustainable development goals (SDGs) in education and health.

The Visjon2030 funding mechanism provided funding for 11 projects in 2017 through the Norwegian Research Council (four projects) and Innovation Norway (7 Projects). The program portfolio currently has 10 active innovation projects. An additional project is financed through the Norwegian Research Council to conduct a formative dialogue research on the innovation projects. The projects are led by Norwegian institutions that are cooperating closely with partners in developing countries.
